Research On A Profit Distribution Mechanism For Citizens Participating In Rural Tourism Development

With the rapid upsurge of the Chinese economy the standard of living of citizens has increased markedly and tourism has increasingly become people's most important means of leisure and enjoyment. Having unique features, rural tourism has become the first choice of urbanites looking to relax and unwind from the fast pace of work. Following the 1990s, this type of paradigm developed rapidly throughout the entire country. However, at the same time as creating wealth, the phenomenon of unfair distribution in rural tourism also aroused the widespread attention of the government and academics in the field. Deficiencies exist in our nation's rural land transfer system and it is not well suited to the market economy mechanism; rural communities naturally lack capital and experience in the industry; member of the community lack working skills,……The restrictions of various factors places community members in a position of extreme disadvantage in rural tourism profit distribution. This is not concurrent with the policy objectives of"Building a New Countryside","Urban and Rural Integration"and"Building a Harmonious Society"strenuously promoted in our country at present. Consequently, how to establish a reasonable profit distribution mechanism in the process of rural tourism development is not only significant in improving tourism theory, but also has important practical significance. This article takes the development of rural tourism in Sanshenxiang, Chengdu as an example and researches the profit distribution mechanism of rural tourism development from the perspective of participation of community members.This article is divided into six sections.Section one is an introduction. It clarifies where the problems stem from and elaborates on the significance of this research from the two perspectives of theory and practice.Section two is on related concepts and the progress of research. It compares and analyzes rural tourism at home and overseas, and the concepts of community and community participation. It clarifies the scope of research in this article, summarizes theoretical research on the participation of community members in rural tourism at home and overseas and points out how one must emphasize the perspective of economics when researching development of a profit distribution mechanism for the participation of community members in rural tourism.Section three is macrotheoretical research. It analyzes the application of Marxist theories on the value of labor and land rental in the development of rural tourism, points out the main forms in which members of the community gain profit and problems that exist.Section four is microtheoretical research. It applies stakeholder theory to clarify the stakeholders in rural tourism development and analyzes the game strategy of each stakeholder from the perspective of game theory.Section five carries out research on the participation of community members in rural tourism development at Sanshenxiang in Chengdu from both macro and micro perspectives respectively. It summarizes the profit distribution method, quantitatively analyzes the cognitive and perceived attitudes of community members and points out their game strategy. In addition, it interprets the participation of Sanshenxiang community members in the following rural tourism profit distribution mechanism and its prospects.Section six briefly summarizes the entire article.
