| In recent years, rural tourism has shown its vitality in China. As urban residents’ income level increases and the consumer demand changes, rural tourism, featuring a natural, healthy and comfortable lifestyle, are attracting the attention of the city dwellers. Rural areas are rich in ecological resources, which is an ideal resort for tourists on vacation. The Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC put the construction of ecological civilization in the overall layout and put forward the strategic task of building A Beautiful China,which has provided an excellent development opportunity for rural tourism. At the same time, rural tourism is an effective way to promote the new urbanization and to narrow the gap between urban and rural and to achieve a sustainable development.However, as an important basis of rural tourism, rural community’s position and function has not been paid enough attention. Community is a part of the rural tourism resources which should not only act as the spectators, they have the right involve in rural tourism. On the other hand, though rural tourism has promoted the rapid development of rural economy and society, it also inevitably has brought a series of problems such as environmental pollution, cultural invasion, unfair distribution of benefits for the local residents. If they can’t get the benefits from the development of rural tourism, a series of contradictions will be caused. Rural tourism is related closely to community well-being and is the rural residents’common cause.This paper focuses on the community participation patterns and the interest distribution mechanisms of Weihai Hekou Jiaodong Fishing Village.
