Human resources management is one important parts of modern industrial engineering management. Our country's machinery manufacturing enterprises are all aware that the production employees are of great significance to the manufacturing enterprises, we must enhance our production employees' job-satisfaction to reduce turnover, develop their commitment. So, how to measure production employees' job-satisfaction, which effective measures should be taken to improve the management of employees' job-satisfaction become the questions that HR department must solve.This study was designed to understand the current status of production employees' job-satisfaction in our country's machinery manufacturing enterprises, and to explore whether job-satisfaction of different group are different from one another. In this paper, the theories about employee satisfaction and the status of employee satisfaction research conducted by scholars at home and abroad were reviewed. Based on the researches and characteristics of Chinese machinery manufacturing enterprises, we designed a five-point Likert scale which measures the job-satisfaction of the production employees.Participants were 176 production employees who were organized in 2 department of a large machinery manufacturing enterprise -A company in Tianjin. Each completed a survey containing measures of 5 job-satisfaction facets. Based on the scores, we analyzed the overall and each facet of the job-satisfaction of the production employees in A company, the highest and lowest scores 5 items, and the difference among the different group of production employees. So that, specific ways to improve production employees job-satisfaction were suggested.
