The Research On Labor Economy Of The Three Gorges Reservoir Area In Chongqing

On May, 2007, Chongqing municipal government issued "Regulations on the promotion of economic development of urban and rural labor views" and pointed out that we must promote the labor economy become better and faster with the idea of dealing with cities and country plans as a whole to make Chongqing becoming an best case of transferring rural labor force in China. On June7, 2007, the State Council approved Chongqing as urban and rural integrated support reform pilot area, which is the first framework for the establishment of the new pilot area on provincial-level. "The decision of accelerating industrial development, resolving immigration employment and promoting prosperity and stability in the three gorges reservoir area "emphasized that we must take the labor fore as the first resources, the transferring of the labor force as the major strategies and the labor economy as "the first economy". The three gorges reservoir area of Chongqing as an important region of supporting the poor, has abundant labor resources. The contradiction between people and land is very prominent, and the phenomenon of industrial hollow is serious, meanwhile the pressure the movement of labor and immigration employment is heavy. Kaixian is a major county in agriculture, population and labor. If we explore the channel of accelerating the development of labor economy and realizing the changes of rural labor to industrial workers, it has important practical significance and guiding significance not only for the economic development of Kaixian and The three gorges reservoir area, but also for the construction of municipality with mechanism of urban and rural integrated.The article mainly uses the method which unifies the quantitative analysis and the qualitative description. First, summarizes of the theories and the method in labor economy and take the foundation of the article. Next, describes the current situation of labor economy in the whole of China and the three gorges reservoir area. Then utilizes correlation theories and methods, such as development economics, labor economics and regional development economics, labor economics, regional economics and comparative analysis or statistical analysis, analyzing the present conditions and potential of labor economy in Kaixian in qualitative and quantitative ways . Finally, proposes some suggestions on the basis of the above analysis.
