The study of spatial structure is not only the main content of regional scientific but also the important issues of tourism study. To take full advantage of the rich tourism resources in Shandong Peninsula, achieve better regional cooperation in tourism, and promote Shandong Peninsula tourism economic for the sustainable development, this paper uses the pole-axis theory of economic geography to analyze the tourism spatial structure of Shandong Peninsula and finally come to the Shandong Peninsula tourism space structure system.The main study are as follows: The article summarizes previous research on the spatial structure of regional tourism, defines and demonstrates the concept of point-axis system theory and the theoretical focus on the points system used in tourism significance. Then, this paper analyzes the construction background of Shandong Peninsula, including overview of tourism resources, space distribution of the traffic situation in Shandong Peninsula, a brief analysis of spatial structure for urban system, and the existence main problem of space. Next this paper analyzes analysis the prerequisite of Shandong peninsula with pole-axis theory, summarizes the selection method of the important axis and poles of tourism development, in accordance with the Shandong Peninsula identified three axis of tourism development and focus on the development poles. Finally this paper comes to the conclusion that Shandong Peninsula Tourism space structure, two centers, two major tourism development axis and two tourist areas: the coastal tourist areas and tourism landscape customs, and constructed the point - line - spatial Regional tourism space structure of Shandong peninsula.
