Shiyan Huanmin auto part Co. Ltd is a auto parts supplier which adopts lean production management scheme to make hundreds of types of motor components according to order. Lean production pattern applied in the company has gotten quite good economic effects. Lean Production is market-driven and pulling pattern production, the core idea of which is to eliminate waste and to reduce cost. To make Lean Production achieve better benefits, business flow optimization and information sharing are necessary. There exists some problems in the company, such as order making flow, warehouse management flow and information sharing and communication. The company needs to apply information technology to overcome them.Based on the analysis of the problems that the company is facing, Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is used to improve order making flow and warehouse management flow. And the workflow technology is used to control the information flow and sharing. Because thousands of parts are used in the production of the company, product configuring template and material coding method are adopted in the system to avoid the confusion.In order to develop the management information system for lean production based on the above technologies, UML method is applied to analyze the demand and establish the requirement model, Spring MVC architecture under J2EE platform is used to implement the system which can control the order making and warehouse management to make the information sharing and communication more efficient. The system has been successfully applied in the production management of the company, and satisfactory results achieved.
