Internet product viscosity is a very important means to help internet companies win consumers. Meanwhile, it's also a basic foundation for internet companies to obtain profit model. How to improve product viscosity has became a more and more important problem for internet companies. This thesis analyses the problems on how internet companies to improve product viscosity and how those companies to find suitable profit model, and this thesis gives strategy of how to improve product viscosity for these companies.This thesis starts with the concept and category of internet products, analyzing the common features of internet products. It also analyzes features of five certain internet products. Then through the analysis of internet product viscosity, the thesis sums up three attributes of product viscosity: customer usage frequency, network effect, substitution. Because the three attributes work together, different internet product has different product viscosity. Later, the thesis concludes the function of product viscosity for internet companies in different periods. Via the analysis of existing main profit models and features of these models, we know that the link between product (profit point) and customer (profit fountain) is product viscosity. Product viscosity and profit model interact. Well product viscosity can provide a company a good environment to hatch a good profit model. In this way, internet companies can establish their product viscosity strategy by following these rules: basic function for free, exert network effect, improve customer participation and persist creation. Finally, through analyzing QQ product of Tencent Inc. and its product viscosity, the thesis demonstrates how Tencent obtain profit model via product viscosity. The thesis also gives brief introduction on development actuality of Tencent's profit models.How to find compatible profit model is the most important problem for CEOs of internet companies. The thesis investigates the influence of improving product viscosity to hatch profit model, and also brings forward the product viscosity strategy. This thesis hopes to help internet companies find profit model and advance the development of internet industry.
