The Research About Operational Mode Of High-tech Business Incubator Based On Cluster Analysis

In knowledge economy era, technological innovation renewed everyday. How to transform science & technology result to productivity effectively indicates the level of national high-tech industry. The high-tech business incubator's development process and practice in China and foreign countries have shown that high-tech business incubator has made extremely important contribution in the promotion of science & technology result transformation and the revitalization of regional economic prosperity. However, the operational mode of successful high-tech business incubator under different district and environment is not identical at all. Therefore, the characters of local environment such as economic, technological, and educational factor need to be taken into account when carrying out the practical research on selecting appropriate operational mode.Based on the relevant theory and empirical research of high-tech business incubator, the article analyzes the status of the native high-tech business incubator's operational mode. Then the developing strategy and the regional solutions are presented according to the empirical analysis. Firstly, it introduces high-tech business incubator's origin, characteristics and operational procedures, summarizes theoretical basis on the emergence and operation of the high-tech business incubator. Secondly, it discusses the status, developing trends and types of domestic and international high-tech business incubator. After comparing the incubator character between China and U.S.A, especially from such aspects, including role of government, service facilities and staff input, service item, capital sources, it points out the hint of developing process and operational mode of foreign incubator for our country. Meanwhile, the developing strategy of our high-tech business incubators is summed up in this article. Finally, 31 regions are selected as study samples to carry out quantitative analysis on different region's incubation status with the combination of Principal Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis methods. Then it acquires Principal Component Scores of various regions, and presented five regional incubator operational modes according to Cluster Analysis result. Research indicates that unbalance and discrepancy of our incubation conditions are obvious among different districts. High-tech business incubator's operational mode should be based on actual local conditions to achieve industrial and professional operation. Thus it can promote the progress of science & technology and regional economic development effectively.
