The Strategy Choice Of Changjiang Securities Co. Under The Creative Environment

Facing important changes of the environment, an enterprise must actively adjust its existing models and strategies to survive and develop.Nowadays, China is speeding up on the way of opening capital markets. As one result, many foreign finance institutions are coming into the domestic market. Foreign investment banking firms with advanced management ideas and efficient management will bring a tremendous impact on the domestic securities industry.Currently, significant changes in the institutional system and market environment are greatly accelerating the differentiation among brokerages and the pace of M&A (merger and acquisition) and reorganization. Competition in the securities industry has become more intense. It is a real problem that Changjiang Securities Co. has to solve that how to face the new market environment and competitor and how to seize the opportunities in the fierce market competition to survive and develop. There must have a new timely corresponding development strategy. Based on the analysis of the in- and external environment, applying Michael Porter's target focus strategy, this paper tries to set up a development strategy matching with Changjiang Securities, including specific competition strategies in traditional business and innovative business. In the end, this article makes some suggestions on reconstruction of the organization, business process reengineering, human resources and corporate culture.The purpose of this article is to provide an operational strategy for a medium-sized securities company like Changjiang securities. It also provides for strategic-makers of other companies food for thought and reference.
