The Research Of Evaluation Of Non-profit Organizations' Financial Performance

Along with the gradually perfecting of the socialism market-economy system, the development of Chinese NPOs has being under a vigorous development. They have played a more and more important role in the development of social economy. How to use the financial performance appraisal into the NPOs'management has become a discussion topic which is worth paying more attention to. Through the correlation analysis, this article combines the theory of financial performance appraisal with the management and development of the Non-Profit Organization. As a result, it constructs one preliminary flame for NPOs'finance performance appraisal.Taking theories, such as Principal-agency theory,Management theory,System etc., as the theoretical basis of this research. This thesis conducts deeply the study on financial performance assessment of non-profit organizations and puts forward the theoretical framework of this assessment. Then, The third section analyses the eight key elements making up the appraisal of enterprise is manage performance:appraisal goal, appraisal subject,appraisal object,appraisal method, appraisal foundation, appraisal index, appraisal criterion,appraisal report. On the basis, the index system of finance performance assessment for non-profit organization is built. Then FHAP is used to assess the performance of non-profit organizations and China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF) is took as a case is cited to illustrate the process of the financial performance assessment of non-profit organizations in 2006, thereby the feasibility and rationality of the financial performance assessment of non-profit organizations in practice is proved. This thesis is meant to handle necessary theoretical and practical exploration for the rationalization, standardization and institutionalization of the financial performance assessment of non-profit organizations.The innovations of this thesis include two points. One, emphasize the importance of finance performance assessment about non-profit. Two, putting forward NPOs can be divided into two kinds by the Organization operation patter. They are"Schedule"and"project". On this basis, this thesis discuss how to building the appraisal index system.
