Impact Of Supply Chain Integration On Manufacturing Enterprise's Performance

With economic globalization, advancement of information technology and innovation of management theories, market competition modes have changed from the previous competitions between lower production costs, higher products quality and sales expansion of enterprises to competitions between supply chains. Under supply chain competition, supply chain integration is a powerful weapon for better performance and competitive advantages. Supply chain integration has become a new management conception for the promotion of competitive advantages and enterprises' performance. Therefore, the research on the impact of supply chain integration on corporate performance may have important realistic meaning for the improvement of competitive advantages and performance of manufacturing enterprises.On the basis of research reviews, a research framework is presented which describes the relationship between supply chain integration, competitive advantages and enterprise's performance. This research selects supply chain integration of manufacturing enterprises in Hunan Province as its research object, and discusses the relationship between supply chain integration, competitive advantages and enterprise's performance by means of Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA), descriptive statistics, means difference analysis, Pearson correlation and linear regression analysis. According to empirical conclusions, some suggestions are put forward on the improvement of competitive advantages and performance of manufacturing enterprises in Hunan Province. The main conclusions are:(1)Based on the empirical data of 128 samples, Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA),descriptive statistics, means difference analysis, Pearson correlation and Linear Regression analysis are used for empirical analyses.(2)The empirical findings prove that there are significant positive relationships between supply chain integration and competitive advantages, between supply chain integration and enterprises' performance and between competitive advantages and enterprises' performance.(3) According to empirical conclusions, analyses on the stage of supply chain integration and its present problems are presented for manufacturing enterprises in Hunan Province. Meanwhile, such suggestions are brought forward as strengthening internal resources and business processes integration, enhancing external integrations among enterprises, their customers and suppliers, and improving information integration between enterprises to promote supply chain integration capability for enterprises' better competitive advantages and performances.
