A Study On The Eveluation Of The Carrying Capacity Of Eco-tourism

Along with the rise of urban tourism and the tourism industry's unprecedented prosperity, as the growing of the people's environmental awareness and the strategy of sustainable development widely implemented, various kinds of negative effects that relate to overexploitation of the tourist city have begun to appear and gradually demonstrate their enormous potential threat, including the overexploitation of the tourist resources, the extensive management of the scenic spot, the morbid expansion of the construction of travel facilities and the severe deterioration of the environmental quality. All these are threatening the sustainable development of tourist industry and tourist city in various degrees. With the realization of the concept of sustainable development among people, in order to achieve sustainable development of the tourism, as an important foundation for the tourism environment, the Environmental Carrying Capacity is becoming one of hot research areas both in domestic and foreign countries in recent years.This thesis discusses the measurement, analysis and research of Tourism Environmental Carrying Capacity (TECC) and finds the most suitable research methods on Carrying Capacity of eco-tourism. It contributes to controlling visitor's flow, making sure it does not exceed a certain threshold value, and it also contributes to developing and planning the tourist city scientifically and data acquisition,so as to realize the sustainable development of the tourist city and tourist industry.This thesis discusses the concept of ecotourism, and at the same time, the concept, characteristics, intension and function of Tourism Environmental Carrying Capacity have been defined, the relation between Tourism Environmental Carrying Capacity Theory and Sustainable Development Theory has been explained, the evaluation index system has been put forward, and the measure model has been set up after consulting many data at home and abroad. At the end of the thesis, Dalian of Liaoning Province is studied as a case city for the quantitative calculation on its tourism environmental carrying capacity by data acquisition and also is analysised on eco-tourism resources in Dalian City. The author points out the rational tourism environmental carrying capacity of the City and the restrictive factors, with advice and suggestion offered on how to develop the tourist city and tourism environmental carrying capacity of Dalian. To coordinate Environmental Carrying Capacity of eco-tourism of Dalian, specific measures and methods will be available and then Dalian City will be healthy and steady on the development in the tourism industry.
