Research On Tourism Environmental Carrying Capacity Of Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration Based On Sustainable Development

The natural and humanistic environment that the development of tourism industry depends on closely and directly is a complex system which has continuous variety and succession, Actually, whether the quality of tourism environment is good or bad determines the sustainable development and competitiveness of the regional tourism industry. Thus, integrating society, economy, resource, ecology and other comprehensive influencing factors, tourism environmental carrying capacity(TECC)has become the critical indictor measuring tourism environment and sustainable development of tourism industry effectively. As the trend of economic globalization and regional economic integration is increasingly apparent and popular, Urban agglomerations have become extremely important and significant regional parts which participate in global competition and international specialization in some countries and regions. Practically,discussion on tourism environmental carrying capacity of urban agglomerations involves with the study on problems of synthesis environmental capacity in regional tourism industry development, It emphasizes on how to combine and coordinate tourism function, tourism structure and tourism environmental elements in some cities with different levels and scales ,as well as the sustainable capacity of tourism environment. Tourism environmental carrying capacity of urban agglomerations is not only simple combination of a large number of cities or tourism scenic spots,Most important, it is necessary to analyze the appropriateness between tourism environmental system and regional socio-economic composite system, so that the regional tourism environmental carrying capacity can be measured and evaluated scientifically and effectively.Starting from the review of study on tourism environmental carrying capacity in china and abroad, the dissertation makes analysis on the present state of theory studies related to the concept ,connotation,composition system and quantitative evaluation of tourism environmental carrying capacity, and then the author proposes and interprets the concept and connotation of tourism environmental carrying capacity. Tourism environmental carrying capacity is that complex environmental system of regional tourism industry has the capacity of the maximum intensity of tourism activity in certain period and specific region, under the condition that tourism resource is ensured to reasonably exploited and ecological environment has a trend of beneficial cycle. Subsequently, making research on it in a deepgoing way, may identify well a variety of complicate pressures and reasons as well as the evolving trend in the process of tourism development, in the meantime put forward targeted and operational way and advice of optimum and adjustment, and contribute to developing and planning the urban agglomerations tourism, also contribute to managing tourist cities rationally, in order to realize the sustainable development of urban agglomerations tourism industry and tourist cities. Connecting sustainable development with tourism environmental carrying capacity, The dissertation constructs the spatially conceptual model and the evaluation system of tourism environmental carrying capacity by dint of the state space, describing and calculating quantitatively based on the sustainable state, therefore providing a new idea and method for quantitative study of tourism environmental carrying capacity;Taking Shandong peninsula urban agglomeration for example, tourism environmental carrying capacity and carrying state of it from 2000 to 2005 have been evaluated and analyzed comprehensively, According to spatial disparities of tourism environmental carrying state and the result of the cluster analysis, the paper divides into three functional regions which include tourism optimized development region, tourism potential exploitation region, tourism reasonable development region, and then some optimum and adjustment suggestions to improve tourism environmental carrying capacity of Shandong peninsula urban agglomeration have been elaborated.
