The Urbanization Analysis Effect On The Upgrading Of The Industrial Structure

For the first time,the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China used the concept of "new urbanization" and pointed out that "the ecological civilization concept and principles should be fully integrated into the whole process of urbanization,and a new urbanization path of intensive,intelligent,green and low-carbon will be adopted." The most important difference between the connotation of �new urbanization� and �traditional urbanization� is that new urbanization emphasizes the importance of sustainable development.In this context,based on the existing literature and theory,this paper reconstructs the new urbanization level from five aspects: economic development quality,population urbanization quality,public service urbanization quality,spatial urbanization quality and ecological environment urbanization quality.The indicator system,and using principal component analysis to calculate the level of new urbanization.On this basis,the spatial panel data model is constructed to quantitatively study the impact of new urbanization in 283 prefecture-level cities on the upgrading of industrial structure,with a view to coordinate the promotion of new urbanization and industrial structure upgrading.The study concluded that: First,the quality level of new urbanization between cities is quite different.The quality of new urbanization in the eastern regions is at a high level,followed by cities in the central regions,and the quality of new urbanization in the western regions is low.From the perspective of the growth rate of new urbanization quality,the quality of urban new urbanization in the eastern regions The base of the level is large,the overall growth rate is small,the cities in the central and northeastern regions are in the stage of rapid urbanization development,and the growth rate of urban new urbanization in the western regions is still in a small stage.Second,the new urbanization upgrades the industrial structure.There are significant regional differences in the impact.The improvement of new urbanization level in the eastern and central regions can promote the upgrading of industrial structure.The impact of new urbanization in the western region on industrial structure is not obvious,and the new urbanization level in Northeast China will have a greater negative impact on industrial structure upgrading.Third,human capital investment,fixed asset investment,foreign direct investment,per capita GDP,household consumption and government consumption can effectively promote the upgrading of industrial structure,but the impact of these factors on the upgrading of industrial structure is between regions.has a difference.The government should stimulate the upgrading of industrial structure by targetedly strengthening new urbanization construction.Cities in the eastern and central regions should pay more attention to the quality of urbanization of public services and urbanization of ecological environment.The western and northeastern regions need to focus on the positive impact of factors such as human capital investment,fixed asset investment,government spending,and infrastructure on the upgrading of industrial structure,and comprehensively promote the upgrading of industrial structure.In addition,local governments need to further strengthen regional cooperation and communication,and promote new urbanization through measures such as macro-control,resource allocation,and policy encouragement to achieve a rational upgrade of industrial structure.
