The employment discrimination is a worldwide issue, such employment discrimination phenomena of various degrees exist in different countries of the world. It reduces the optimal efficiency of labor forces allocation by labor market, deprives some labors of their fair and equal employment opportunities as well as harms the employment rights. Many countries conduct thorough researches on it and hope to find out the effective anti-discrimination countermeasures.Since the beginning of 20th century, a series of theoretical research results related to the employment discrimination issue have appeared due to the depth researches carried out by the western economists in the labor economics field. China's researches, relatively starting late, bases mainly on the combination of its own employment discrimination issue with some foreign theories of employment discrimination, especially the theories from the USA that has accumulated a wealth of experience in its anti-discrimination work.Serious employment discriminations on sex , residence, education and physiology has existed in Chinese labor market, and some newly appeared phenomena like regional discrimination have become more and more intensively in recent years. These issues raise little concerns in China due to the reason of China's , productive forces being relatively backward and of legal system, educational system, household registry system, social security system being underdeveloped, and labor's consciousness of rights safeguarding being weak. In order to safeguard equal employment rights, we should learn the experience from developed countries and further make researches on our own issues.Based on western theories of employment discrimination, learning from the experience of the USA and combined with the professional expertise in Sociology, Economics, Law, System and Human resources management analyzing the status and factors in employment discrimination phenomena, the paper uses such study methods as qualitative one and quantitative one to conduct the research and further proposes some feasible countermeasures for fair and just employment environment.
