It provide the most foundmental resource base for china business tourism market. Judged by the increasing consumption trend of business tourism in china, china will be one of the most important business tourism market in the world. The favorable economic and social circumstance and rapid increasing need for hotel service, created opportunity for domestic hotel industry. The number of hotel in china increased rapidly. As a new member of domestic hotel industry, like other state owned hotel undertaking system transforming, is facing the good developing opportunity .But all sides opening towards outside caused the change of hotel industry, pouring of new competitive power and the rise of economical hotel which made the situation more complicated. How to grasp the opportunity in market, find their customer market,make out corresponding strategy and form their unique business operation characteristic to establish competitive advantage is the urgent problem to be solved for the middle size star hotels like hotel W.The author analyses present situation of hotel W according to its external environment such as macroeconomic environment, industry structure and competitive opponent. Then,the internal environment is also analysed. After the expatiation of advantage and disadvantage and the subdivision of the hote market, combined with related theory ,the competitive strategy is made out. The emphases of competitive strategy are deeply discussedThe article consists of 4 chapters. Chapter one is an introduction to the paper, which retrospect the construction process and the start period of A hotel running. The purpose of this article is also explained in the part.Chapter Two includes macroeconomic environment analysis, hotel industry structure analysis and internal environment analysis. The advantage and disadvantage of hotel W are pointed out in the following step.In Chapter Three, STP analysis is made, According to the result of above analysis, competitive strategy is put forward and the characteristics and the risk of the strategy are discussed.Chapter Four focus on the emphases of strategy execution. Moreover, the author also discuss the related measure in strategy execution.
