This thesis mainly deals with the research on the total-process technical innovation management in the small & medium-sized special purpose machinery manufacturing enterprises, which focuses on 5 core parts, including the necessity and possibility of this research, the new concepts and functions of the total-process technical innovation management, the inter and outer conditions, the key conditions of developing such management and three practical cases. And in the part of the necessity and possibility of this research, the author studies the general situation of small & medium-sized special purpose machinery manufacturing enterprises, analyzes the problems appearing in this kinds of company and reasons. And researches into their management characteristics. The author has been engaged in the researches on the total-process technical innovation management practically and theoretically over a long time, when he approached a great many enterprises, finding out the current status of technical innovations in those enterprises, selecting 3 typical cases for study on technical innovation. One of is about one enterprise where has adopted the technical innovation, the second one department, the last one project. That cases-study may help enterprises develop total-press technical innovation.
