E-business represents developing trends of insurance industry. However, current insurance e-business has not achieved the expected impact on decreasing cost and improving efficiency, especially there's little success in insurance online sales. This paper starts with the analysis on present state of insurance e-business, then analyzes restrictive factors in insurance e-business developing, and finally studies the developing countermeasures of insurance e-business.The result showed: The traditional insurance business model still has competitiveness in network age. Integrated multi-channel will be the basis of insurance e-business for successful operation. Based on integrated multi-channel, insurance company can introduce network technology into business process, and reengineer business process according to development strategy of company. And with the development of insurance e-business, traditional value chain of insurance company will be redefined. Insurance company can integrate the inside resource and outside resource, and will gain the competition advantage by cooperating with business partners or by applying reasonable outsourcing strategy. With the development of technologies the technical barriers of insurance e-business will be fixed. In future, e-business will create new value and service through the insurance value chain, and the next generation of successful insurers will have redefined their business model. |
