| So far, studies on employment mainly focus on healthy person, but the problem of the handicapped employment should not be ignored. Employment is of great significance for the handicapped themselves, their family and the whole society. This thesis studies on the employment of the handicapped in urban China, and suggests countermeasures by describing the employment status , analyzing the reasons and consequences .The thesis is composed of five parts:The first part summarizes theoretical basis of the handicapped employment,mainly socialist humanitarianism, the new concept about the handicapped, and the theory on replacement and compensation of the handicapper's function; and explain the significance of the handicapped employment.The second part simply reviews the development of the handicapped employment in China, and describes the problems of the handicapped employment, they're low opportunity of employment, and low quality of employment.The third part explores causes of formation of the employment problem of the handicapped. It is not only because the obstacle of the handicapped themselves, but also because the localization of the employment pattern, and lack of relevant support.The forth part does analyses on the social consequences of the problem of the handicapped employment, basing on the theory of employment discrimination, social exclusion, and self-security.The fifth part puts forward the countermeasures in order to solve the problem of the handicapped employment. Through the support from three levels, and improving three relevant supports, the problem of the handicapped employment might be solved.This thesis is concerned about the handicapped from the angle of employment, and is on the purpose of protecting the handicapped form an active way by advancing their abilities of self-security. From this point of view, the choice of the study's topic is of great practical significance. |
