Corporate university is a new type of education and training organization financed by corporations. Since 1955 when General Electric set up Crotonville College,corporate university has been around the world in the past 60 years. However, the corporations have not been interested in corporate university very much untills the end of 1980s.During this period, many corporations witness the sharply shortened lifespan of knowledge and realized that they can not reckon on institutions of higher education no longer to re-tool their work force. Therefore, more and more corporations begin to establish their own corporate universities to connect learning programs with real business goals and strategies and then realize the control and selection of students'learning programs.By now most of the researches and works originate from Occident. The paper takes TBEA Institute as an example, studies the theory of corporate universities both here and abroad and their operating practice and analyses the problems which exist in the development of corporate university in China in aspects of the strategic planning, the foundation of training system and trainer team, the improvement of training courses and the training effect evaluation,etc. and works out the solutions.With the practice and application, this paper further verifies and enriches the corporate university-dependent management theory. With the application of lierature survey method, comparision method and case study method, this paper analyses the root of corporate university, and summarizes the development of corporate uninversities both here and abroad and their status quo and problems, The purpose of this paper lies in three aspects: the first is to attach importance to the corporations'setting up their corporate universities and carrying out the internal training; the second is to use other corporate universities for reference and find the gap in order to establish a systemic, healthy, professional and sustainable training system in TBEA; the third is to offer reference for the establishment of corporate university and effective training system.
