Application And Analysis Of Project Management In IT Industry

In June 2007,I took part in the Philips mobile phone M600 project's management and coordination. This project came into being under the situation that all of most mobile phone has the same function and the same quality and performance. In order to break off this limitation, we plan to design one kind of extra mobile phone which has super long standby life (500 hours) and can enjoy the multimedia function, such as high performance music playback, Java game, web camera, Bluetooth transceiver function, etc. This paper will introduce the basic of project management as well as the effective and efficient procedure of project management. It includes the introduction of mobile phone design platform, project risk assessment, the control method of all project management phases, project management theory study and analysis, and development direction of project management in future. The purpose of this article is to provide one of way to better manage all kind of projects in IT industry with my actual work experience and project management knowledge. At the same time, it is also a reference material for those beginners in project management career.
