The GDP has greatly increased with the deep reformation of markets since the reform and open-up policy in 1978. On the other hand, the pressure of employment in China has been obvious, and the unemployment phenomenon gradually exposes. In recent years, Chinese creative industry has been developing so fast and brought so many employment opportunities that it is called"the rising-sun industry"with great concerns. This paper connects these two economical phenomena together. Firstly it makes an empirical and comparative analysis on the gross level of the employment effects of Chinese creative industry. Then basing on traditional analysis frame of the Cobb-Douglas function, this paper sets up a mathematical model in which investment, progress of technology, industry structure, urbanization level and wage level effect employment. It makes an empirical analysis on the effecting factors of Chinese creative industry employment with the data from 2000 to 2006 based on the panel data model. We conclude that investment, industry structure, urbanization level and wage level can boost the increase of employment of Chinese creative industry, while progress of technology can decrease the employment of Chinese creative industry. And among these factors, industry structure is the most obvious. Moreover, it gives a theoretical and emprical research on whether the development of Chinese creative industry effects employment, and analyses the relation between development of Chinese creative industry and these effecting factors with the data from 1987 to 2006 based on cointegration model and impulse responses. We get a conclusion that the development of Chinese creative industry has a deep effect on employment through investment, progress of technology, industry structure, urbanization level and wage level. Also, these factors all have effect on Chinese employment. Relying on the empirical analysis and conclusion, this paper puts forward some brief political proposals.
