The theory of leader behavior and its effectiveness has been an hot spot of research in organization behavior. The transactional leadership and transformational leadership which proposed by Bass is a new hot issue for examine the leader theory and accepts by other researchers. Leadership, as a process of social influence, is really a universal phenomenon in all over the world. However, the concept and composition of leadership can be different in various country cultures. The schema of thought and behavior manner of the leaders of the Chinese enterprises tends to be more characteristics in transactional leadership because that the Chinese enterprises have undergone the plan system and the administrative operation mechanism. But few researches had done on the enterprise transactional leadership behavior in the background of Chinese culture. Therefore, base on the research of Bass on the structure dimension of the transactional leadership, this paper studies the structure dimension of the transactional leadership under the background of the specific Chinese culture and attempts to expand the structure dimensions by means of survey.We takes the convenient sampling method and the questionnaire survey to get datas, uses SPSS to the data statistical process. After done the factor analysis, project analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis, we draw the following conclusions: First, the characteristic dimensions of transactional leadership contain Contingent Reward, passive management-by- exception and active management-by-exception. Second, the characteristics of the transactional leadership behavior in the background also including the Support of Relationship, Demonstration of a Model and Golden Mean. Third, the empirical results shows that, no matter the enterprises are state-run or private or third-funded, the relationships between the transactional leadership behavior and the subordinates'leader satisfaction, organizational commitment and job satisfaction are stronger positive linear.We propose the following suggestions which are aiming at how to enhance the effectiveness of transactional leadership in enterprises. First, the enterprises should know the characteristics of the transactional leadership behavior in the background of Chinese cultures. No matter in the state-run companies where the designing of organization and the environment are relatively stable or in the private or the third-funded ones where internal management schema and management mechanism are more flexible, the leaders should actively take advantage of the effectiveness of the transactional leadership. Second, the enterprises'leader should pay attention to guide the value composition of the staff by using vision and setting up examples for others with both precept and practice; encourage staff to raise efficiency by improving the job procedure and innovation and to gain high performance.
