China's Textile and Clothing industry plays the important role in the world. As the biggest country of pruduct,export and consumption, China take about 24 percentage of the total export in the world in 2005. On January 1, the global textlie trade has abolished the quato system, which means the world textlie industry entered a"post-quato era". This is more opportunity for a challenge for china's textlie and garment industry. China will face fierce competition of other powerful textile countries, india is the biggest competitor.The paper analyzed current situation of China's Textile and Clothing industry ,then ompared China's Textile and Clothing industry with indian's by a series of indexes of measuring trade competition. It concluded that China had more advantage than india. Second, the thesis analyzed the main factors influencing China's export competitiveness, then used as a source of Kim-Marion model and Moreno model, inspected the labor remuneration, basic investment, the average asset scale of enterprise, R&D,HR and GDP per capita of China which has mainly influenced on China's MPR, the conclusion was that basic investment and GDP per capita had played the most significant role on Textile and Clothing industries's export competition, the labor remuneration's influence is being weakened gradually, the average asset scale of enterprise,R&D and HR are no most notable. Therefore, in order to maintain and promote the country's textlie and garment industry's competitiveness, the industry should optimize investment, Strenthen research and personnel training.
