The Effects Of International Technology Diffuision In Chinese Technology Innovation And The Study Of Its Performance

With increasing globalization, Technology innovation has been a key factor of sustaining competition. With the country's opening, the improvement of technology innovation ability is affected by both the domestic factors and the international factors. International technical diffusion is an important way to achieve advanced technology. And it plays a vital role in promoting technology advancement and improving technology innovation ability.The first section of this paper is literature review on the factors of technology innovation. International trade, Foreign Direct Investment, patent application and patent citation are important channels of international technology diffusion, the paper aims to review the effects above channels have on technology innovation. From the perspective of the performance of R&D input and output, I test spillover effects of international technology diffusion on domestic technology innovation effectively by using LP model. The result shows that Chinese technology innovation ability mainly depends on domestic R&D input, but to some degree foreign R&D input also is significant for it. Moreover, human capital and intellectual property right protection also have similar effects, reducing the elasticities of domestic R&D input on independent innovation and increasing those of foreign R&D input from foreign patent application. The last section summarizes the whole paper and takes forward corresponding suggestions for different regions.
