The Research On High-technology Products Export

With deeper integration of the world economy, the competition of international market is increasingly fierce. It highlights the competition in science and technology, especially the high-technology, high-tech for short, which represents a country's competitiveness. Promoted by strategy of "invigorating trade through science and technology", high-tech industry has developed rapidly in China and export of high-tech products has increased remarkably. Export of high-tech products is very important to upgrade industrial structure and change the mode of economic growth, and it is a significant index to weigh the economic, technical and export strength of a country.Starting from reviewing related international trade theories, this paper studies the current situation of high-tech products export, and researches main problems for further development. Through using documents, empirical and data analysis comprehensively, the author finds that the effects of R&D investment and actually utilized Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to export of high-tech products are noticeable and R&D investment has stronger influence. The article analyses international competitiveness of high-tech products with some appraisal indexes, and concludes that the high-tech products export competitiveness presents rising tendency. Finally, basing on previous study, the writer puts forward measures for improving high-tech products export of China.
