Study On The Evolution Of Economic Spatial Structure In Hunan Province

In the process of economic developing, the economic space is under the gradually evolution. In the different stage, grasping the evolution tendency of economic spatial structure has vital significance to economic spatial layout and region developmental strategy formulation; it can get best benefit of region development.Studies the evolution of economic spatial structure in Hunan province with the county as the basic spatial unit, the per capita GDP as the basic measuring index. Using the spatial autocorrelation model and the linear model to analyze the spatial correlation of the economic growth among counties in Hunan . The results show that from middle 1980's, the economic spatial structure in Hunan province is in the evolution period and showing the following the features: (1) The economic spatial structure is on the stage of space-centralizing with the obvious core-edge-periphery pattern. (2) The phenomenon of the multi-economic-center exists in spatial economic structure, and the economic center is in the process of alternating. (3) Seeing from the regional economic correlation, the spatial correlation degrees in Hunan province is not strong. Every city cause little effect upon the growth of economy in its surrounding counties. The economic diffusing effects merely exist in the areas of the high-level economic development regions. Discusses the factors of the evolution of economic spatial structure from industrialization,urbanization and macroscopic policy. Industrialization is the most important factor of the evolution of economic spatial structure, macroscopic policy has far-reaching influence to regional economy difference, and then to the economic spatial structure, the gather effect from urbanization has influence importantly to the evolution of economic spatial structure.
