By designing and testing the Soft-Switch trial network, the paper analyzed and calculated the corresponding relationship of input relaying speed and output IP package speed (or bandwidth) by using the different compression coding modes in relaying media gateway, and the corresponding relationship of the different signaling links and output IP package speed, then assayed the effect of the lost package rate on the phonetic quality in the IP network. On the base of these, the paper designed traffica signaling, port ,IP parameters of the Soft-Switch trial network.We established three kinds of testing surroundings, including the VOIP testing surroundings of the different MGW on the same MSS, and the different MGW on the different MSS, and the intercommunication testing surroundings of TDM and VOIP between MSS and MSC. We executed the seven kinds of testing projects, totalized 113 items, which included the contact testing of the Nc, Nb, Mc interfaces, the end to end link failure testing, the IP network mar testing, and the phonetic quality testing and so on. Furthermore, we also executed the special testing projects, such as the coexistence testing between TDM and IP in Soft-Switch systems, the phonetic disaster recovery testing on condition of the all IP congested, the effect of the IP card rearrangement on the phonetic quality. We reviewed the commercial degree, maturity, stability and intercommunication of VOIP from the different mills, and the function, capability and business implementation of soft-switch VOIP by designing and establishing the Soft-Switch trail network of HeNan Mobile Company.
