The Automatic Storage/Retrieval System (AS/RS) is an important system in modern enterprise logistics, which integrates modern logistics technology, computer application technology and management technology. Against the actual needs of the development of AS/RS, in order to enable it quickly respond in a timely in-warehouse and ex-warehouse requirement of manufacturing system, the paper gives a function analyses of the warehouse management system(WMS) and researches on in-warehouse goods allocation assignment.Firstly, this paper introduced the structure of Automatic Storage. Based on the studying the existing AR/RS, the function of our WMS was designed. Beginning with the understanding requirement and the analysis of the need for the system, the thesis studied the entities and their relation involved in the system and draws entity-relation diagram, analyzed table between fields and set up database. The AS/RS database management system was set up by using SQL SERVER 2000.Secondly, according to actually needs of the AS/RS, the problem of in-warehouse goods allocation was studied. For the traditional in-warehouse goods allocation model was not accurate and more complex, so this paper proposed a method of in-warehouse goods allocation based on fuzzy logic. The weight of the goods, the frequency of in-warehouse and ex-warehouse, and the quantity of free slot were the input variables. Goods allocation was determined by fuzzy logic. An example of program and application was developed to illustrate the advanced nature and effectiveness of the proposed method.Thirdly, the Client/Server structure model of WMS was designed .The management of user, the management of product, the management of product in-warehouse and ex-warehouse, the product records of in-warehouse and ex-warehouse, the operating records of in-warehouse and ex-warehouse and the analysis of report function models of WMS were realized with C# language based on .net platform.This paper put forward a method of in-warehouse goods allocation based on fuzzy logic according to practical needs of the AS/RS. It makes in-warehouse and ex-warehouse operations rapid and flexible and improves the efficiency of AS/RS operations and increases enterprise economic benefits and social benefits.
