A Study On Integrated Risk Management Of R&D Project

Facing the increasingly fierce global competition, R&D becomes one of the strong strategic measures to gain a competitive edge for enterprises and countries. R&D can bring benefits and advantages, yet it is high-risk project due to its innovation traits. Along with the further development of project management and people's deeper understanding of risk, risk management of R&D projects emerges as a major issue of R&D project management. The risk of R&D project is characterized by different phases, circling transfer, and increasing losses, etc. Risky factors that influence the project vary in different R&D phases, the cause, forming process, the latent destroying mechanism, and the results would also vary accordingly. Single managing process and measures fail to meet the demand of R&D risk management.Based on combination of integration management and project risk management, the theory of risk integration management is formed in this thesis. Comprehensive consideration is given to the management of R&D risks, from angles of measures, flow and process. In light of risk integration management and the traits of R&D risks, the thesis comes up with a set of risk integration management model and method that's suitable for R&D projects. The main body of the thesis includes: 1. the theoretical basis for risk integration management, basic theories on risk integration management are presented; 2. study on risk integration management, explanations are made on concept and characteristics of risk integration management; 3. integration management of R&D projects, analysis is made on the characteristics of R&D risk projects and the corresponding risks, the necessity for solving R&D risks with integrated risk management is presented; 4. R&D project risk integration management, the basic thoughts of solving R&D risks by means of risk integration management; 5.applicable analysis, risk integration management is applied to the risk managing process of certain R&D case.
