Research On City Tourism Industrial Upgrading

As the high relational grade industry, tourism industry plays a strategic significance to the city development. However, with the development of tourism industry and the maturity of tourist's demand idea, tourism industries in many cities are facing the problems of upgrading, improving quality and increasing benefit. So the city tourism industry which is undergoing a transitional phase is necessary to study how to upgrade, tourism industrial upgrading is not only the objective requirement of itself but also the development of city.By means of model construction, case analysis and social investigation, a comparatively completed research framework of the city tourism industry is constructed from the aspects of theoretical basis, upgrading mechanism and path selection.On the basis of relation between city and tourism, the author summarizes a theory 'the coherent development of city and tourism' and using it throughout the paper. In order to master the tourism industry how to upgrade in the progress of city establishment macroscopically, the author establishes a model of 'city tourism industrial upgrading according to system theory' and gives a particular explanation to the model's mechanism. The two paths of 'Organic renovation' and 'vacating cage to change bird' are selected generally in the city development on the basis of protection, this paper combine these two paths with tourism industry innovatively, discussing through the two paths how to realize the coherent development of city and tourism, and analyzes the role orientation of government in the upgrading of city tourism industry.Hangzhou and Xi'an are the earliest tourist cities, they are facing how to breakthrough mutual promotion between city and tourism industry, thinking what paths to choose so as to realize the upgrading of city tourism industry; Taking the two representative cities as examples to do positive study about the paths of 'organic renovation' and 'vacating cage to change bird', the author summers up concrete problems in the upgrading of the two city tourism industry and finds out the reasons hidden behind the phenomena; comparing the reasons that Hangzhou and Xi'an choose different paths to upgrade from the aspects of tourism resource of comparison advantage, the position of city function, tourism market demand, the spatial structure of tourist market, the city status in the region.Choosing the paths of 'organic renovation' and 'vacating cage to change bird' to realize the coherent sustainable development of city and tourism: the upgrading of tourism industry should match the future demand of market; the aim of upgrading is not only economic benefit, but also social benefit and ecological benefit.There are different paths for city tourism industrial upgrading, this paper chooses the two typical paths, and takes Hangzhou and Xi'an which utilize the two paths to realize tourism industrial upgrading as case studies to do positive study, tries to give some suggestions for the development and optimization of other cities tourism industrial upgrading.
