The Analysis Of Current Situation And Strategies Of The Agricultural Structure Readjustment In Our Western Regions

The issue of agricultural structure readjustment in western regions was raised and discussed in the process of building a harmonious society, improving harmonious development between regions, solving issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers, and building a new socialist countryside. Due to an increasing gap between cities and countryside, and western regions being the poorest regions at present, problems concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers in western regions are most serious. Without settlement of these issues, it is impossible to achieve our goal of building a well-off society. To solve these problems, the readjustment of agricultural structure is one of the most effective measures. The agricultural structure readjustment in western regions can help establish the scientific and reasonable agricultural location, train farmers with a high level of scientific and general knowledge and build a new socialist countryside with modern characteristics, which in itself can provide the important foundations and measures to solve the problem concerning gap between regions.Based on these facts, the paper takes exploration of the problems which cause the unreasonable agricultural structure in western regions as its concern, in the hope of finding a scientific and practical solution to solve these problems and suggest agricultural further development in western regions. In order to collect sufficient data, this paper adopts doing field work, designing questionnaire, interviewing and checking references as its means of data collection. Through analysis of the collected data, the author summarizes as: 1. for the agricultural structure readjustment in western regions, there are opportunities as well as challenges, opportunities and challenges are inseparable from each other; 2. to promote development in this respect, we must seize opportunities and rise to meet challenges. From the history and realities of agricultural development in western regions, the conditions for agricultural development in western regions as well as achievements obtained from agricultural structure readjustment, we can know the emphasis the readjustment should lay, principles which must be adhered to, and development orientation which is used to guide the readjustment. Bearing these in mind, the local government, farmers and enterprises should take various procedures to promote the more effective readjustment for agricultural structure.Although agricultural structure readjustment will encounter many difficulties in its process, if reasonable measures are taken to realize Agricultural Update, it can lay sound foundations for rapid development in western regions by promoting the agricultural development, and even more, it can create conditions for establishment of a well-off society in an all-round way by enhancing our overall strength and competitiveness.
