Management theory development has come to a new stage since the turn of the century.Essentially,the significance of the people has been tremendously comprehended,and people are considered the most importa nt resources and the most valuable assets of an enterprise.Therefore, people-centered management becomes the management theory and managem ent pattern mostly discussed and studied by various domestic and fore ign enterprises and scholars nowadays.China is a socialist country in rapid development,and "harmony" is t he goal and subject of this development.Accordingly,the Chinese man agement style has to be consistent with the characteristic of the Chi nese society development,in order to be applied to the Chinese enter prises,and to contribute to and assist in their advancement and grow th.The goal of the thesis is to,by referencing the advanced eastern and western management theories as the foundation,by inheriting and pro moting the outstanding Chinese philosophy cultural thoughts as the me ans,construct the Chinese characteristic people-centered management system,accelerate the development of Chinese modern management theor ies,and ultimately apply the system to enterprise practice,therefor e realize the goal of management theory studies.The thesis stated the modern people-centered management concepts and characteristics,outlined the current status of people-centered manag ement practices,and explained the theoretical foundation and practic al significance of constructing Chinese characteristic people-centere d management system.In essence,people-centered management sets its ultimate goal to promote the people's individual freedom and comprehe nsive development.The core of individual freedom and comprehensive d evelopment is the development of individual psychological goal struct ure and the consummation of individuality.On the other hand,the phi losophy foundation of Chinese characteristic people-centered manageme nt is the diverse,Confucianism-based,ancient Chinese philosophy sch ools of thought.The management conceptions promoted by these schools of thought is the origination and basis of the Chinese modern enterp rise management theories.The Chinese characteristic people-centered management is the one management pattern that conforms to Chinese soc iety development and fits modern Chinese enterprise advancement.Key to the thesis are the characteristics,the essence and the constr ucting of Chinese people-centered management system.Three essences o f Chinese people-centered management system are,"people-centering", "ethic first",and "self-improvement and easing others".Chinese char acteristic people-centered management emphasizes the understanding an d promotion of the individual natural disposition,stresses to the co ntrol and assurance of the "will of the people",and prioritizes the building and maintenance of the "relationship".The Chinese character istic people-centered management system such constructed must be a sy stem engineering that conforms to Chinese national condition characte ristic,is ready to reasonably applied to Chinese enterprises,and wi ll bring realistic significance to the enterprises' development.This system engineering mainly constitutes four mechanisms:Motivity mech anism(drive),pressure mechanism(goal),restraint mechanism(ethic and law),guarantee mechanism(social security).These four mechanism s relate and affect mutually.Influenced by ancient Chinese philosoph y thought,they take root in the enterprise culture,and can remarkab ly contribute to the development of Chinese enterprises and economy w ith good exercise.In the economical globalization of the 21st century,China is facing the unprecedented development opportunities and challenges.Without d oubt,Chinese characteristic management also faces the inevitable que stion of meeting international standards.The glorious history and th e remarkable achievements have already proven that management is not only the tool,the technology and the method,but more importantly,a lso a culture.In studying Chinese characteristic people-centered man agement,one has to follow the principles of unifying both globalizat ion and localization.On the one hand,basing himself upon the Chines e cultural tradition,one must absorb the essences of the ancient phi losophy cultures,and on the other hand,learn the outstanding wester n modern management theories,to ultimately achieve the goal to bring the modern people-centered management studies to a new level,and ha rvest the achievements by applying the theories to enterprises develo ping process.
