A Study On Daniel Hausman's Thought Of Economic Philosophy

As the principal founder of the well-known magazine "Economics and Philosophy", Daniel Hausman is a top-class philosopher in economic philosophy, is considered as leader of the new Mill school. As an economic philosophy has held in the severity of the figures, Hausman's thought is worth studying, and he represents the direction of economic philosophy. This article attempts to systematically introduces thought of Housman's economic philosophy.This article briefly introduces the major aspects of the main ideas of Mr. Hausman separately from the aspect of economic methodology and economic ethics. Firstly, I made a brief introduction to the study and work experience of Mr. Hausman, and then began to explore Hausman's theoretical sources of economic philosophy. The great idea is also standing on the shoulders of giants, so it is very necessary to clarify the source of Hausman's theory. Secondly, I made an introduction to focus of economic methodology Hausman. In economic methodology this paper write from the angle of the development process, summarized the traditional representative ideas of Mill's economic methodology, and then I write the contents of Hausman's Economic Methodology. The main points of Hausman's Economic Methodology mainly on the re-interpretation and improvements of Mill's methodological problems, and think Mill's interpretation on the economics is still the best explanation, and improve Mill's view that economics is an independent scientific, and offered the view that the economics are imprecise and independent scientific point of view. Philosophical thought is always built on the basis of criticism and reflection, so this paper also describes Hausman's criticism on the mainstream economists like Karl Popper, Friedman, Samuelson's methodological point of view. Then this paper introduced the economic ethical thought of Hausman. In the economic point of view, first I introduced the course of development economics and ethics, through the unity of economics and ethics, separation, integration of a process, described the relationship between economics and ethics, economics and ethics are inextricably linked, Hausman thought economics is closely related to ethics, economics can contribute to the development of ethics, the two can be unified in essence, the ethics can improve the strength of economic analysis, economists analysis tools can help the development of moral philosophy, economic analysis and moral philosophy of the combination has infiltrated into the area of public policy, helping to develop good public policy. At last, I introduced the criticism of the philosophy of Hausman's economic from others, gives us a better understanding of Hausman's economic philosophy, and then I am briefly discussion on Hausman's economic philosophy of the Enlightenment.
