To assure Qingdao's properly taking full advantage of the stage of strategic opportunity in the following 20 years , especially the end of"the Eleventh Five-Year"and initial stage of"the Twelfth Five-Year",It is truly necessary to take active efforts to thoroughly investigate, comprehensively predict and analysis the positive influence and negative affection which might be induced in Qingdao City by Olympics in the the post-Olympics era, as well as carrying on scientific, reasonable, and practical countermeasure to maintain economy of Qingdao City to progress prosperously on a higher level, and society advance harmoniously.Reviewing economic developing tendency in different Olympic conducting cities since 1988 Seoul Olympics,it can be seen that, on one hand, conducting Olympic Games might bring giant commercial opportunities to the conducting city,flourish economy for a period of time, improve economic growth and societal progress in conducting city,even involving the whole nation, in another word, it is positive on economy and society.On the other hand, venture on conducting city economy might be increased, mostly manifested as:huge liabilities caused by great investment in conducting city and nation during arrangement stage;gymnasiums, palestras,and sports facilities left unused,or deficiently used after Olympic Games;decay of Olympic relative industries; deceleration of whole region economic growth;decline of social welfare level, ect.As to the currently Qingdao City economy and society progress condition and tendency, positive influence of Olympic Games includes: leaving a precious and profound Olympic heritage in Qingdao City; construction of 5A degree sailing center and scenery and powerful and multi-functional citizen public;tourism in Qingdao City being accelerated and growing rapidly which will be induced by conducting Olympic sailing games; city ecology environment being optimized further; the three industrial structures tending to be more rational; unlimited commercial chances being offered to different Qingdao enterprises to exploit overseas markets ; accelerating Qingdao City's economy and society progress in all fields. Olympic heritages may benefit Qingdao City's economy and society in the following 10 years even longer. Meanwhile, affected by complicated factors such as global economy and Chinese economic cycle,in the post-Olympics era in Qingdao City,local investment decline might take place; economic development might lack of enough impetus;consumption demands might bog down temporary;employment population could not be increased continuously; at the same time, realty and stock markets might experience important adjustment under the circumstance that investor's confidence and expectation are changed , or Olympic notional investment circle is ended.But these negative influences are mostly affected by macro-economy, rather than merely and directly affected by Olympic Games, indeed Olympic Games evoke these influences and magnify them locally. Specific suggestions are as following: to promote the progress of integration of Shandong Peninsula, so regional cooperation can help Qingdao develop better; expediting the construction of regional international shipping logistic center, which will increase economy of harbour; taking a further step to creation, which will improve Qingdao's ability of creation; continuously promoting Olympic's tourist, which will advance the internationalizations of tourist and multi-functions progress; to manage the heritage of Olympic culture; to advance the social harmony.
