The Research On The Domestic Made TiO₂ Industrial Application

As one kind of delustrants, TiO₂( Titanium Dioxide) is often adopted to lighten the color in polyester production. But the domestic made TiO₂ quality can not reach the standard as polyester industry demanded. Since the lack of the special treated TiO₂ for polyester industry, the polyester production mainly relies on imported TiO₂. There's much space to develop the domestic made TiO₂ used in polyester industry.Co-operating with Hebei Huierxin Co, Tianjin Petrochemical Co.Polyester Dept. analyzed the TiO₂ quality indicators, started to production in the sequential polyester filature instrument, then test in the new zone and FDY instrument, at last adopted their TiO₂ in all the new zone instruments. After the analysis on the results, I am confirmed that I aquire the basic experiment data and accumulat many industrialized experiences.The results also prove that the domestic made fibre class TiO₂ produced by Hebei Huierxin Co. has almost reached the quality level comparing with those imported products. The Huierxin TiO₂ can be used in the polyester production, can be used to replace the imported TiO₂. By the decreased cost, we promote our competition ability on the polyester products.One the other hand, there are some fields to be developed for our domestic made TiO₂. Comparing with the imported products, the color is not that satisfied, the filter and floccus indicators should be improved in the future.
