The Study On The Development Strategy Model Of Heibei Provincial Construction & Investment Corporation

Hebei Provincial Construction & Investment Corporation (for short HBCIC) established in 1988, after fast growing it has become one of the largest state-owned single proprietorship investment and holding companies in Hebei Province. After China joined the WTO, with the accelerating progress of globalization and the reformation of domestic state-owned assets and power, the issues that HBCIC is facing both inside and outside the company have already changed greatly. HBCIC has to have a second thought on its next step, position, development strategy and its development target. Under this background, this thesis analyses this company by using relative competition strategy theory, in order to provide a foundation for the company's decision-making.This thesis starts with the meaning and the background of analyzing HBCIC's strategy, the method and the outline of analysis as well as the content and the structure of the thesis. The first part of this thesis is academic analysis; the author lists some theories such as enterprise competition strategy, the theory of product life cycle strategy, the theory of operation group integration strategy and the theory of the level of the enterprise strategy management. Then based on those theories, the second part of the thesis deeply analyses both macroscopic and microcosmic circumstance that HBCIC is on, compares HBCIC with those major investment and holding companies in our nation, then generalizes advantages and disadvantages that HBCIC has and the opportunities of market competition and the risks that HBCIC is facing. Finally, the thesis points out HBCIC's development direction, the development strategy, the collective target and development guideline, the target and structure of industrial groups. Aiming at leading industry, industrial coordination, funding, human resource, it also points out eight strategic measures.
