| Since the 1980s, China's electric power industry has carried out a series of regulatory reform, and various economic indexes have got a greater improvement. However, in the electric power industry, high input, low output, high-price, low efficiency still exists, electric power reform has a long way to go. This paper will analysis technical efficiency in the process of reform and influencing factors, and provide policy suggestions for China's electric power industry.First, this thesis starts with summarizing the research methods and research results of technical efficiency at home and abroad. Then the author analysises influencing factors on technical efficiency of China's electric power industry in theory, and considers six aspects of effecting technical efficiency from enterprise's characteristic and industry's environment. There are ownership structure, enterprise size, technique diffusion, government regulation, market competition and geographical position.Second, this thesis selects the Stochastic Frontier Model to make an empirical analysis of technical efficiency of China's electric power industry. The author gets the following results: (l)average technical efficiency of China's electric power industry shows a steady upward trend; (2)technology efficiency in different provinces has significant differences; (3)the growth rate of technical efficiency in the provinces with high technical efficiency is significantly lower than that with low technical efficiency.In the last past of this thesis the author provides some policy suggestions to the enterprises and the government according to the results of theoretical an empirical analysis. |
