An Investigation And Study On Flower Industry In Chengdu

The flower industry in our country started at the beginning of 1980s, then it came into the fast development stage during 1990s with the development of national economy and the stable improvement of people's earning. Now it has become a perspective industry like a rising sun and a new point of economical growth for its important role in virescence, glorifying of the environment, amending ecological equilibrium, adjusting agricultural industry structure and increasing the peasant incomes.We have done a research on the development of production bases and on the status of marketplace from 2006 to 2008, in Chengdu. The research is on the basis of related documents, advanced foreign research results and the analysis of characteristics and trends of flower industry between home and abroad.ⅠThe analysis of flower industry's producing process, marketing mobilization, and technology factors according to its current conditions of industrial development, include its broader of producing scales, specialization of producing process, enhancement of technologies, multifaceted investment and the maturing of marketing constructions.ⅡThe key problems in the development of flower industry include lack of favorable policies and financial support for investment. The conflicts between small scope producing and mass marketing, insufficient support of technology, and the distempered ness of marketing communication system, are the main issues which are stunting this industry's development.ⅢThe advantages of its development are feasible climate and soil conditions, abundant idioplasmic resources, plentiful labor forces, special section superiority, long-term cultural and historical issues of flower industry, and the good market potential.ⅣThough the discussion of Chengdu flower industry in terms of its challenges and advantages, this report offers some recommendations for how to improve its development. The development of Chengdu flower industry should be powered by science and technology, be oriented by market, and be guaranteed by quality and take benefits as the goal. And we should open a scientific, professional, scale development and commercialized managing way.
