Research On Fruit Competitiveness Comparison Between China, Guangxi & Asean

With the "China-ASEAN Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement" signed between China and ASEAN, free trade zone is officially launched and a comprehensive agricultural cooperation is developed between China and ASEAN countries. Guangxi, located in China's southwestern part, is deemed to be the China-ASEAN cooperation forefront, whose market has been attracting massive influx of agricultural products of ASEAN countries. Particularly, the impact on the fruit industry is quite far-reaching, which increasingly leads to fierce market competition. In this situation, improving the competitiveness of the fruit industry in Guangxi appears to be extremely important and necessary, which at the same time is in favor of increasing the income of the farmers in Guangxi, solving the "three rural" issue, building a harmonious society, promoting the building of a comprehensive well-off society.Through the study on the competitiveness of the fruit industry, this paper focuses on bringing forward the concept of fruit-industry competitiveness. With the analytical comparison to the fruit industry of the ASEAN, and through competitiveness evaluation index system, practically researches competitiveness of the fruit industry of both Guangxi and ASEAN, and analyzes the factors impacting the competitiveness of the fruit in Guangxi, and puts forward some suggestions to enhance the competitiveness of Guangxi fruit industry including how to make use of the proposed ASEAN Expo platform, regulate fruit production and systematic operation, and improve the support extent of related policies.
