| The China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) was officially launched onJanuary1st,2010, since then more than7,000kinds of products has been toimplement zero-tariff treatment. China-ASEAN bilateral fruit trade has maintainingstrong growth, which not only has created a new opportunities for the development offruit industry in China, but also brought new challenges. Our country’s market hasbeen attracting massive influx of agricultural products of ASEANcountries.Particularly,the impact on the fruit industry is quite far-reaching,whichincreasingly leads to fierce market competition.In this situation,improving thecompetitiveness of the fruit industry in our country appears to be extremely importantand necessary.There are plenty of overseas Chinese Settled in the ASEAN countries,they arehaving a strong demand with the Chinese temperate fruit such as apples, oranges,pears. However,compared with other major fruit exporting countries in the world,great gap still exists between China and them.The export volume of China’fruitaccounts for about2percent of output,about2percent of world,5total exportvolume.It shows although China is a large fruit producing country,it is not a bigexporting country.Various factors whice influenees China’s fruit export exist,carryingout a deep analysis on the major influential factors has great significance in exploitingthe full potentiality of China’s fruit export,and turning China from a large fruitproducing country to a great fruit exporting country. At the same time,it is in favor ofincreasing the income of the farmers in China,solving the“three ruralâ€issue,buildingaharmonious society,promoting the building of a comprehensive well-off society.Applying the comparative advantagetheory and competitiveness theory ofinternational trade theory,using the Constant Market Share model(CMS) carries out aresearch on the major influential factors of China’s fruit export and reason analysis ofthe change of China’s fruit export to ASEAN. Applying the Trade Competitiveindex(TC) and Revealed Comparative Advantage index(RCA), it studies thecompetitiveness of China’s major exporting fruit:apple,orange and Pear. Throughresearches competitiveness of the fruit industry of China,and analyzes the factorsimpacting the competitiveness of the fruit in China,and puts forward somesuggestions to enhance the competitiveness of chinese fruit industry including how tomake use of the proposed ASEAN Expo platform,regulate fruit production andsystematic operation,and improve the support extent of related policies.... |
