Research On Coal-mining Supported City's Industry Transition

There are many coal-mining supported cities in China, of which the dominant economic is resources industry that is based on the non-reproducible resources. At the present, the coal resource-based cities are facing the difficulties such as the exhausted resources and declined economy and etc. It is an urgent task for resource-based cities to increase economy, update the industry, exit the resource industry and seek the superseded industry. Therefore, it is very important to research the industrial transition and put forward the constructive development tratagem for the superseded industry.Datong as the largest coal-miming suppored city in Shanxi, is the most typical example of the exploitation and early production of coal resources. Because of excessive abnormal emphasis on the coal resources of a large-scale, high-intensity, groups of development, extensive mode of economic growth, the waste of resources, ecological destruction and environmental pollution worsening. The development of Datong'economic fast many problems,it is nature choice to realize industry transition. In recent years,Datong city do everything possible to adjust the industrial structure,in order to achieve the sustained and healthy economic and social development, but to really achieve industrial restructuring is still confronted with many difficulties and challenges.This paper bases on theories such as industrial economics, regional economics and sustainable development. Through reference foreign cities coal industry restrucring experience, the current character of the industrial structure on the base of the field survey, the evolvement law of the industrial structure. The author mainly deals with the contemporary social and economic situation facing these cities and the hindering factors that are preventing them from a successful turning of city economic mode. This article suggests for Datong's economic mode turning the goal, the schedule, the pattern and the possible leading industry. It also points out the supporting system for this turning.
