Status Quo And Strategies Of Persimmon Industrialization In Gongchen County

Situated in the northeast of Guangxi Province, to the southeast of Guilin, Gongcheng is predominately a fruit center. With the planting area of fruit trees 28376h m~2, the production of fruit 514163t ,the total product of Gongcheng arr -ives 800million RMB. Among the whole planting area, Gongcheng Persimmon covers an area of 8100h m~2,the product 123148t. In 2006, the farmer' s average pure income of fruit is 2670RMB, which is the 85% of the total pure income 3151RMB, while the average income of Yueshi is 1064RMB, 34% of 3151RMB. The fruit including Gongcheng Persimmon plays an important part in the construction of the new socialist countryside in Gongcheng, and the analysis on the industry of Gongcheng Persimmon , to some extent, has great significance to the healthy development of fruit industry.This paper first presented that Fruit industrialization belongs to agriculture industrialization and the theories of fruit industrialization were practiced in the range of agriculture industrialization. Then, the connotation of agriculture industrialization was elucidated. The value of agriculture industrialization is the strategies of agriculture overcoming its substantive weakness, is the outcome of the deepening reform and development of rural economy, is the inevitable choice of market-oriented agriculture system, and is the important strategy for responding to the challenge of WTO. Agriculture industrialization follows the principles of labor division and corporation, benefit, efficiency, rational layout of productivity, interest balance and sustainable development of agriculture. Based on these theories, the connotation of fruit industrialization was elucidated and the main viewpoints on the fruit industrialization in home and abroad in recent years were analyzed.Based on the production of persimmon in home and abroad, as well as the development course of persimmon in Gongchen County, this paper proposed that persimmon industry had broad development prospects in Gongchen County. By theory analysis and field survey, we thought that the industrialization of persimmon had certain advantage in Gongchen County. First, the cultivation technique of persimmon was getting gradually mature. Second, outstanding achievement was got in the development of eco-agriculture. Third, the capability of process had improved greatly. Fourth, the marketing way was innovated independently. Fifth, standardization and brand building was running well. Sixth, persimmon tourism had rapid development.Meanwhile, the problems of persimmon industrialization in Gongchen County were also put forward. Such as, infrastructure remains to be perfected; Popularization of standard technique remains to be strengthened; The organization of persimmon grower and market consciousness remains to be improved; Comprehensive strength of leading enterprise need to be strengthened; Sales network remains to be broaden.Based on the problems existing in development of persimmon industrialization in Gongchen County, some advices on further promoting the persimmon industrialization were put forward: first, improving the quality of standardization base; second, fully exerting effect on brand building; third, strengthening the comprehensive strength of leading enterprise; fourth, strengthening the corporative economic organization; fifth, perfection of interest binding mechanism; sixth, improvement of product circulation system; seventh, exploiting foreign market; finally, changing the function of government to improve the service.
