Positive Research About Income Difference Of Rural Households In Mountainous Area

Since the economic reform started, although rural residents'income has gained great increase in China,its growth begin to have significant drop in recent years. So the problems about rural residents'income become very important. Mountainous area is a special zone. On one hand, rural households' income level is low; on the other hand, the phenomenon of income difference among rural households is great. As a result, study on income different of rural households in mountainous area has great significance in improving rural households' income.The thesis is guided under income difference theory and based on summarizing income difference. Deep analysis is carried out about basic condition of mountainous zone and the characteristics of income of rural households in mountainous region. The result indicates that though the income level of rural households in mountainous area is low, the income gap among rural households in mountainous is quite wide. And then the paper analyzes income difference of rural households in mountainous area through quantitative analysis, which includes simple statistically describing on economic situation of 309 rural households who live in five counties,Guangxi and doing multivariate statistical analysis on low income group and high income group. As a result, five factors which influence per capita net income of low income group and seven factors which influence per capita net income of high income group have been found out. After that, the paper analyzes the factors which impact income of different income level rural households, and it points out that land area, agricultural productive structure, productive investment and nonproductive expenditure are four main factors which cause income difference among rural households in mountainous area. At last, the thesis gives several suggestions about increasing the income of rural households who live in mountainous region.
