Location Theory is a theory related to spatial layout and spatial interaction of human activity. The application of Location Theory in tourism includes classifying the gradation of tourism spatial organization and tourism planning, establishing tourism development strategy, purchasing tourism location advantage, enhancing cluster of tourism corporations, electing tourism facilities location, designing tourist route and so on. County region is the lowest basement of political unit in our country. It is important for regional tourism economy development. According to the rapid tourism development as background, tourism cooperation-competition as acceleration, location theory as theoretic basement, county tourism spatial structure as research object,"eight-factors, three-modes, two-relations"as model framework, improvement of the county tourism development and planning level as purpose, Zixing in Hunan as case, this paper analyses and assesses the tourism location factors and tourism spatial structure in order to optimize tourism spatial structure in Zixing.This paper contains four chapters. The first chapter summarizes the background, significance, foreign and demostic related references, logic thought, research method and initiative of the paper.The second chapter sets up the whole basic theory framework from related conceptions, main characteristics and fundamental theories, discourses the relationship between Location Theory and Tourism Spatial Structure Theory.The third chapter analyses tourism location factors and tourism spatial structure. Firstly, it sorts out tow gradation of eight predominant and subordinate factors including tourism resource location, tourist location, tourism transportation location, tourism economy location, tourism culture location, tourism perception location, tourism brand location, tourism competition location. Secondly, it discusses fundamental elements, basic modes sand developing mechanism of county tourism, and establish"eight-factors, three-modes, two-relations"model.The forth chapter takes Zixing in Hunan province for example, analyses and evaluates its tourism development in details, and then emphasizes on the analysis and assessment of eight tourism location factors, inner tourism spatial structure and outer tourism cooperation-competition relation in Zixing, points out its location advantages in brief, forecasts the evolution of tourism spatial structure and conceives tourism spatial cooperation-competition strategy. Finally, the paper explores and discusses the optimization of tourism spatial structure in Zixing and puts forward constructive countermeasures for Zixing.
