Knowledge management is an important factor to raise the competitive level for both organizations and individuals. As the basis of knowledge management, knowledge classification can provide a theoretical guidance for those who deal with knowledge management and can also classify and organize the complicated knowledge to build an orderly, standard and systematic knowledge world. A vast literature on KM and knowledge classification of recent years showed that we're at the stage of cognitive study on knowledge classification, which can also be regarded as its dynamic classification. This thesis combines theory and practice to make an overall study on knowledge management with the latest research by using methods of literature researching, comparative study and giving examples, analyses body of knowledge by quoting classification system of Chinese library classification combining with dynamic knowledge classification puts forward the core and the process of knowledge management, and it also exemplifies how to manage body of knowledge and the practical use of knowledge management in university academic knowledge system management. The main body of the research is as follows:The thesis is divided into three parts. Chapter one is the first part in which introduces the structure of the whole thesis and gives an overview of knowledge management by summarizing the relevant studies on it over recent years. Part two is the main body of the thesis containing the theoretical study from chapter two to chapter five and the study of its practical use in chapter five. Chapter two gives definitions of knowledge and knowledge management and mainly discusses some knowledge management related issues from knowledge management principle and the core of management. We use Bradford law and Latka law of Bibliometrics to study the core of management. Chapter three is a transitional part in the study of body of knowledge. By defining the concept of knowledge classification, the thesis sums up and gives a review of some commonly used knowledge classification, and mentions the quotation of classification system regarding the limitations of these classifications. Chapter four is mainly about relationship of knowledge systems. By using classification system of Chinese library classification, this chapter points out the inter-relationship of different subjects from the two angles of natural science and social science. Chapter five deals with the practical use of knowledge management. Taken academic knowledge as example, chapter five builds the academic knowledge management system on the basis of computerized cataloguing system with the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of this new system. Part three is the conclusion of the thesis which sums up the main points of the research for the use of further study. Through this research, the results obtained are as follows: The definition of knowledge management ;Improve the knowledge management process and the establishment of a knowledge management process model of the use of "CLC" the system of classification, can be divided into knowledge through knowledge management. In the framework of a relatively static body of knowledge, social sciences and natural sciences from two angles, drew a system of knowledge between their respective independent of each other through the relationship of knowledge, and knowledge systems between the system and the relationship between the analysis;Use of Bibliometrics in Bradford and Lotka law and the law of the core knowledge for the analysis and judgement of the existing system of cataloging books, colleges and universities to achieve the academic knowledge management system-related features. These results to improve knowledge management has three major aspects of the role: The relationship of knowledge, knowledge management is clear in all kinds of knowledge targeted for dynamic knowledge in the knowledge classification system to find a fulcrum, the more useful knowledge Management; Seize the core of knowledge, knowledge management will help improve the efficiency and quality through case studies, University academic knowledge related to the knowledge resources and human resources as a link, the book cataloging system changed in order to achieve the sharing of knowledge management, for the future many ways to achieve knowledge management systems provide a useful exploration.
