| Nowadays IT industry is in a stage of fierce competition, so that it is very necessary and urgent for small and medium-sized IT enterprises to make development strategies and sustain in the market competition. However, most of these enterprises are lacking in such strategies. TS Technical Co. Ltd., a small IT company which focuses on PC Camera manufacturing and sales has plunged into trouble recently due to the same problem.In this thesis, by using the principles and methods of strategy management, the development strategy and implementation suggestions have been put forward for TS on the basis of the survey results. This thesis is composed of six chapters. Chapter 1 provides a general review of the research, including the writing background, analysis theories, research structure, and the general situation of TS. Chapter 2 mainly discusses the features and problems of the small and medium-sized IT enterprises, relating to the company life cycle theory and the current developing situation of IT companies. In Chapter 3, the external environment for TS is analyzed based on the industry life cycle theory and the five forces model, an EFE Matrix is established to evaluate the opportunity and the threat of the company. In Chapter 4, the internal conditions of TS are analyzed from the five different perspectives, including organization, finance, marketing, R&D and production operation, and it is found that TS is in inferior position according to the IFE matrix built. In Chapter 5, a strategic target of the TS is set based on the previous analyses. An overall strategy is adopted according to the results of SWOT analysis that TS should transform from a stable strategy to a developmental one. In chapter 6, the overall strategy is divided into two stages in time sequences, i.e. stable stage and developing stage, and different competitive strategies will be employed respectively. At last, concrete plans and implementation suggestions are put forward for the aforementioned two strategies. |
