Research On Logistics System Of A Petroleum Machinery Manufacturer

This thesis is on the logistics management of 1st Machinery Works of North China Petroleum. Through probing the problems in the logistics management of the factory, the author tries to work out adequate measures to reform the existing logistics system and mechanism and implement scientific, standardized and lean management for the construction of a logistics management system fits for the development of the modern enterprise. The reform will lay down solid base for the factory to adopt modern enterprise system and fit in the economic globalization, through which the factory will become a domestic leading, international first class quality benefit oriented steel pipe and petroleum equipment manufacturing group.1st Machinery Works of North China Petroleum is a medium sized state owned enterprise. Influenced by the long run planned economic system, its internal management system is quite extensive. With the foundation of several joint ventures, some not ignorable problems began to show in management system, operation mechanism and system construction, which will not only baffle the promotion and application of logistics management theory and technology but also will restrain the continuous development of the enterprise.To solve the problems in the logistics management of 1st Machinery Works of North China Petroleum, the author works out a modification plan to the logistics system based on the knowledge gained from the industry engineering class and the practice of the enterprise reformation which consists of three steps: 1. reform the factory into a"manufacturing group"to adopt effective management system, 2. optimize and reform the internal structure and function of the factory to make the internal management fit for modern enterprise system, 3. utilize modern logistics management technology to regularize the enterprise management and make it fit for the trend of the market development and strengthen its capability in facing the change and development of the market.To reform the logistics system of 1st Machinery Works of North China Petroleum, it will need not only the uniform recognition and implementation of the whole staff, but also the back up of the policy of the governing department and the improvement of the environment, which is quite difficult.
