| Cities are places of human activity, carriers of carrying out production and consumption by the way of human space concentrating natural land. Urban land using efficiency has high relations between the human quality of life and sustainable development issues, is beneficial to easing the condition of less land and more people, and the obvious contradiction between supply and demand issues in China. At present China is in rapid economic development, some cities only pay attention to the expansion of extension, using extensively the existence, to enhance the level of urbanization in the process of adjustment, by the way of the waste of land resources, the gap of cities' land-use efficiency is quite large. So there is an important practical significance on studying the urban land using efficiency, for improving the urban land using efficiency, and conserving land resources in China.Based on existing theory and research results of the review, taking an example of urban land using efficiency in Sichuan Province, through analyzing the overall land-use situation of the cities around Sichuan, selecting the section of data of the cities' land-use situation around Sichuan in 2006, the paper used the way of DEA to evaluate Sichuan urban land using overall efficiency, and analysed the reasons for the differences of various urban land using efficiency by construing the input-output indicators analysis of and analysis of, and made appropriate policy recommendations.The main conclusions of study are as follows:(1) Through analysing actuality of the cities' land using around Sichuan Province and using of DEA empirical research, the overall land using efficiency of the cities in Sichuan is not high. There are still wastes of land resources in the phenomenon.(2) There are not directly relations between the urban land using efficiency and the size of the cities, the smaller cities are more easily in the best condition of the urban land using, but this condition is at the low level of urban land using efficiency.(3) Empirical studies also show that the Sichuan-class cities' land-use efficiency is not high, which is due to the reasons of the diminishing returns for the excessive investment scale of, and the land has not been fully utilized as a result of inadequate input of reasons. So in order to further improve the city's land-use efficiency in Sichuan, the analysis of the specific circumstances of each city are required and then proceed to a targeted adjustment to achieve the objective of making full use of urban land.(4) Through analysing respectively on the input-output of indicators to identify the impact factors of the Sichuan-class urban land using efficiency, the direction to enhance the efficiency of urban land using in Sichuan was specified. |
