Study On Dalian Port Container Transport Development Customer Chain Network

With the development of economic globalization and the increasing of international trade, port plays an important role in the colligation transportation system as the junction of all kinds transportation means. The widespread of modern logistics conception and the requirement of modern logistics practice push the port give up the allocation of a pot of transportation to a colligation logistic centre which contains transportation, industrial trade, finance, information and multiple-transportation. This kind of change makes the port forms a special logistics system of itself.Dalian Port is the second largest port of China in 1990s, but its competition fell far behind the nearby ports such as Qingdao port, Tianjin port during these years for the reason of slow-moving development of the economic hinterland, the bad construction of itself and the service attitude haven't fulfilled, etc. In this thesis, it aims to provide a full view of the overall situation of Dalian Port container transportation by construct the container transportation customer chain network system, and give some propositions on how to impel the development of container transportation of Dalian Port in the future, that could make the Dalian port to be a real important international marine centre in Northeast Asia.Firstly, in this thesis, it analyzes the developments of the domestic and international container ports, elaborates the world harbors' demand, background and the trend of development, and analyzes the situation of the hinterland (mainly the three northeastern provinces) of the Dalian Port such as the container throughput and supply market, makes the comparative analysis of the container throughout status among the Northeast various harbors. Then it elaborates how to develop the container transportation of Dalian Port, and its foundation, superiority and barrier factor and so on. Following, it uses the grey prediction model law and logistic growth function model law to forecast the container throughput which is one of the key indicators of the development of Dalian Port, the predicted value is in line with the actual container throughput. Then state the Dalian Port container transport customer chain network system function conceptual model and the Dalian Port container transport customer chain network system, at the same time carries on the formation of the hinterland to forecast the container production quantity of the main hinterland of the Dalian Port. Finally it gives the corresponding countermeasure on how to construct the container transport customer chain network system, and give some propositions on how to increase the development of container transportation of Dalian Port in the future.
